Eighteen Mile Creek, a popular fishing spot, flows through Boston. Other outdoor activities, like hunting, also are popular here. Boston Forest, an undeveloped park, has meadows and a small pond over its 700 acres. Town leaders label Boston “a very community oriented town” with controlled business development and extensive recreation programs.
The Boston Historical Society operates from 9410 Boston State Road and its website has plenty of information about the town, including Native Americans who lived here, old businesses like a tannery and a bell factory, and long-ago infamous crimes.
