Evangola State Park is at the southern edge of town, and Evans also has several other public lakeside parks that are especially popular in the summer. The Seaway Trail, a National Scenic Byway, travels though Evans on the lakeshore line. Eighteen Mile Creek is at Evans’ north border, and Big Sister Creek flows through Angola. Graycliff, a home deigned by noted architect Frank Lloyd Wright, is in the hamlet of Derby.
The Evans Historical Society is based at the 1857 School House Museum on Erie Road in Angola. Graycliff, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is set on a cliff with stunning views of Lake Erie. Also in Derby is the First Church of Evans Complex, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The neighboring town of Hamburg has the Kleis Site, which contains the remnants of a 17th century Iroquois village and burial ground. The site is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Penn Dixie Paleontological and Outdoor Education Center, also in Hamburg, is run by the Hamburg Natural Society and offers summer camps.
